Chelsea Beat Spurs to Stay in European Race

Ziyech and Silva Strike as Blues Edge North London Rivals

Chelsea kept their hopes of European football alive with a 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

Ziyech Breaks Deadlock

Hakim Ziyech opened the scoring in the 55th minute with a stunning strike from outside the box. The Moroccan international received the ball from Mateo Kovacic and unleashed a powerful shot that flew into the top corner.

Silva Seals Victory

Just eight minutes later, Thiago Silva doubled Chelsea's lead. The Brazilian defender rose highest to meet a corner from Mason Mount and guided a header past Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Spurs Misfire

Tottenham had their chances to get back into the game, but they failed to find the net. Harry Kane came closest in the second half, but his header was saved by Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Conclusion

Chelsea's victory sees them move up to eighth in the Premier League table, just three points behind sixth-placed Tottenham. The Blues will be looking to build on this result when they face Leeds United away on Saturday, while Tottenham will host Burnley in a crucial match for their Champions League hopes.
